About our Springs

If your application is custom. Your springs should be.

When you trust Fox Valley Spring to deliver your precision spring component, you receive worry-free value added supply. Our fast design and prototype service, coupled with our CNC production technology, gives you a unique and long-term manufacturing partner.

Why should I have Fox Valley Spring supply my springs and wire forms?

Fox Valley Spring is uniquely qualified to manufacture many different kinds of custom fabricated springs and wire products. We have cultivated a culture of "getting things done" and servicing our customers at all costs. We design and prototype; manufacture with computer-controlled precision; warehouse for releases; certify each process and provide a total value-added supplier package. We have one of the lowest custom minimum orders in our entire industry. We don't shy away from the small orders because all customers are important to us.

Why does Fox Valley Spring not carry a "stock" inventory?

We have a simple philosophy: "If your application is custom, shouldn't the springs that move it be?" Stock springs are designed to fit in a standard area: a 1" hole, or a 2" free length, etc... The problem with this is that most spring designs are overstressed, meaning that they could take a set or break in your application. You don't know from looking at a stock catalog whether that design is made to work as far as you are using it. When you tell Fox Valley Spring how you are using a spring, we will design a custom part to work in that environment. We have a prototype area with a $45.00 minimum invoice; please call us for further information.

Compression springs are open coiled helical springs that resist a compressive force applied axially. They may be cylindrical, conical, tapered, concave or convex in shape. The changing of the springs ends, direction of the helix, material and finish allows a compression springs to meet a variety of specially designed spring needs.
Product Information

Helical extension springs store energy and exerts a pulling force. Usually, they are made from round wire and are close-wound with initial tension. Typical applications include scales, toys, garage doors, washing machines and various types of spring tensioning devices.
Product Information

Helical Springs used to apply a torque or store rotational energy are commonly referred to as "torsion springs". The two most common types are single and double-bodied springs. Torsion Springs are found in such things as window shades, counterbalance mechanisms, ratchets and various types of machine components. They are also used as couplings between Concentric shafts, such as in a motor and pump assembly. Torsion springs are generally mounted around a shaft or arbor, and must be supported at three or more points. Various kinds of ends are available to facilitate mounting.

Industries utilize a variety of custom wire and metal forms in their products. These individual component designs can vary in material, width, thickness, strength, form and function.
Since standard wire and metal forms do not exist, our experienced craftsmen are able to meet individual application challenges by utilizing their professional experience, flexible tooking and production capabilities.
Your custom wire and metal form component can be readily designed and manufactured upon customer request. Since no standard wire forms exist, each design is reviewed individually. Please create a drawing or rough sketch of the part you need and e-mail or fax it to us. We will review the information and advise if we can manufacture it and the cost. A substantial portion of our capabilities are based on wire forms, so there is a good chance we will be able to help you.
Product Information
